Right now, we're the age we thought our Barbies would be.
And I don't think eight-year-old us would believe it.
Back then, this age looked so far away. It belonged to people who had answers. People with neat handwriting, important plans, matching outfits, and a life that made sense. We gave our Barbies careers, dream houses, tiny handbags, and entire futures without a second thought.
Now we're here.
Still losing hair ties. Still changing our minds. Still standing in supermarket aisles wondering what to buy. Still figuring out who we're becoming.
And there's something comforting about that.
Because the life we imagined was perfect. The life we're living is real. It's messy, unfinished, confusing, beautiful, and constantly changing
And somehow, I think little us would've loved it anyway….
