The Beauty of Not Sharing
sometimes comfort is doing things and not telling anyone about it.
like laughing out loud at something so stupid and not immediately reaching for your phone.
or going out, coming back, and not feeling the need to prove that you had a good time.
or sitting with your chai, watching the sky change colours, and just… letting it be enough.
no picture. no caption. no audience.
we’ve made everything a little too visible, i think.
like happiness only feels real when it’s seen.
like if no one knows you had a good day… did you even have one?
but some of the nicest moments don’t even look that special from the outside.
they’re quiet. almost invisible.
like fixing your hair in the mirror and actually liking how you look for a second.
or cleaning your room and feeling like your life is slightly more together.
or walking alone with music in your ears and feeling like you exist properly.
no one claps for these things.
no one even notices.
and yet… they feel so full.
at first, it feels weird.
like you’re forgetting to share something.
like your happiness is incomplete because it hasn’t been witnessed.
you open an app, type something, delete it.
take a picture, don’t post it.
almost tell someone… and then you don’t.
and slowly, without realising, something shifts.
you start enjoying things a little more honestly.
a little less for how they look… and a little more for how they feel.
it becomes calmer. more yours.
because not everything needs an audience.
not every moment needs to be turned into something consumable.
some things are better when they stay small.
just between you and the moment.
like a secret that doesn’t need to be told.
and ig that’s what it means to actually live your life.
not prove it.
just… fully, be in it.
and for once, let that be enough.
