Mini Bollywood Scene?????
There are some days jo bas… normal nahi hote. Matlab they pretend to be normal .... you wake up, do your chores, clean your room, take a long hair bath, eat bread-jam like a tiny child, talk to your parents, scroll, chill, be bored, be calm… and then suddenly, life decides,
“Chal beta, thoda filmy magic daal deti hoon.”
I swear, the universe has this weird habit of dropping the best scenes on the days you look like the “main bas ghar se nikal rahi hoon, don’t perceive me” version of yourself.
Messy bun, black chikankari short kurti, random lipstick, minimal effort, full “I’m not expecting any plot twist today” energy.
And then… that one call from your friend.
“Punjabi is at Chaat Hub.”
Bas. Scene shifts.
Background score on.
Dil slow motion.
Brain panic mode.
Feet running faster than your thoughts.
I reached Chaat Hub acting like the most nonchalant heroine ever........... like “oh hi, I just casually passed by, kya hua?”
But inside I was literally screaming in Arial Bold, Size 72.
And then… HE LOOKED.
Not that casual, bhaiyya-type look.
The filmy, steady, thoda sa shy, thoda sa smiley, full eye-contact wala look.
I swear chaathub ka board became a film frame… and he was staring through it like he’s been waiting for this exact moment.
And I was like…
“Ummm sir… aise mat dekho… meri heartbeat flip kar degi.”
We walked to George tea shop like two girls pretending not to be main-character-ing the entire street. The shop was almost closing, sun was melting into that soft Chennai gold, wind was doing thoda thoda heroine-heroine vibe…
And then… he comes on his bike.
AirForce Uniform.
Hatta katta 6 ft tall
Jawline.
Calm confidence.
Eyes doing the talking.
He literally stops the bike there ...like someone pressed pause on the world ... and looks again.
Direct.
Filmy.
Intentional.
The kind of eye contact that doesn’t ask for permission, it just happens.
And I’m standing there like,
“Sir… chai toh aap chaathub mein pi chuke ho… yahan kya lene aaye ho… meri saanse??”
He walks in....looks meri tharaf.
Eye contact again.
That small, shy “I know I’m staring but I can’t help it” smile.
Ufffff.
Tell me why it felt like a three-second scene but also a whole movie.
When he left on his bike na… for one second, the world looked ,hayyo rabba..kya hi bolu... Like I was walking inside a dream.
Airpods playing Maula Mere Maula, sky looking extra beautiful, breeze acting like my personal fan, and me ... smiling like an idiot ...thinking…
Bruh, God didn’t have to do this.
Universe didn’t have to align like this.
But it did.
Uncalled for.
Unexpected.
Filmy.
Perfect in the most stupid, tiny way.
Maybe this means nothing. Maybe it’s just a pretty moment.(maybe my imagination)
But today… just today… it felt like the universe leaned in and whispered,
“Love, you deserved a little magic.”
(Mein hi paagal hoon)
