When God says 'Enough' without saying a word
I think I’ve stopped asking “why me?” ....because now it feels like maybe this was God’s way of pulling me out before I lost myself completely.
Sometimes He doesn’t rescue you loudly. He doesn’t send a sign or a miracle or a message that says “it’s time to go.” He just quietly starts removing things ....the people, the places, the situations .... that were slowly draining your spirit but you didnt know it before. And at first, it hurts like hell. You feel like everything’s slipping, like you’re being left behind. But maybe… it’s not loss. Maybe it’s protection in disguise...ig
For a long time, I thought peace meant everything being okay. That if people stayed, if things went right, I’d finally feel calm. But now I realize peace isn’t about things working out ....it’s about me not falling apart every time they don’t.
I used to pray for answers. Now I just pray for strength.
And honestly? I think that shift is what saved me.
This time when I came home, it felt different. The air felt softer, like even the wind knew I’d been through too much. The train ride didn’t feel like an escape .... it felt like a return. Like God was slowly guiding me back to myself, to everything pure and quiet that I’d forgotten.
When I walked into my room, I didn’t feel restless or anxious. I felt... safe. The kind of safe where you can finally breathe without guilt. I took a long bath, wore my mom’s old maxi, and sat by the window with my coffee. The sun was setting ....golden, calm, and real. And for the first time in months, I didn’t feel the need to check my phone. I didn’t want updates or closure or explanations. I just wanted to exist ..... right there, in that small moment, wrapped in warmth and peace.
And I realized something ... maybe God lets certain people leave so that you can come home to yourself. Maybe He takes away the noise that you thought what you actually needed so that you can finally hear His voice again.
I don’t know what’s waiting for me next ... and honestly, I don’t care to rush into it. I just want to slow down for a bit. Read, rest, breathe, pray, laugh. Fall in love with the small things again ... the smell of sambar in the kitchen, the sound of rain on the terrace, my mom’s chai, my dad’s news channel humming in the background,my sister video calling me for any minor inconvenience....I think that's what keeps me alive..
It’s not a grand healing story. It’s small, quiet, ordinary .. but maybe that’s exactly how grace works. It’s not loud or dramatic. It’s Patient. Constant.
Maybe this time, I don’t need the world to understand what I went through. Maybe I just need to be grateful that God didn’t let me stay where I was breaking.
So yeah, maybe this was never about losing anything. Maybe it was all about finding peace again .... in the silent ways God brings you home.
Sunsets, coffee, and His grace ...I think I’m finally home again. 🤍
