The Art Of Doing Nothing
Woke up this morning with "Kehne Laga" playing softly .... no loud alarms, just that chill, soothing start. Pure peace.
Opened the window, gave some daana to the birds. They chirped like they were saying “Good morning, behen!” Made myself a strong cup of coffee and sat on that old stone slab outside where we wash clothes. Garden ka wo corner is officially my new favourite spot ... cold sunny breeze mixing with warm sunlight. Perfect combo.
Later, I cleaned my room while listening to some desi crime podcasts ....full on “who did it, kya hua, kya chhupa hai?” vibes. Made the whole cleaning session interesting.
For lunch, I tried making paratta. Spoiler alert: thoda zyada crispy ho gaya, matlab slightly burned ... but that’s the kitchen ka drama, right? Then I slapped some besan on my face, feeling all desi beauty queen vibes, and relaxed by watching a crime documentary. Gyaan bhi, entertainment bhi!
In the afternoon, went full Bollywood mode ... watched Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Crying with Kajol and Shah Rukh, feeling all the emotions, as always.
Evening came with chai and a soft drizzle outside. Hairathe was playing in the background, and I danced a little, cried a little ... sab kuch ek saath. The smell of chai, the sound of rain, the warm comfort of home ... perfect combo for some deep soul-time.
Days like this make me realise ...it’s okay to slow down, chill, and just be. No pressure, just apna time.
