Not Your Typical Pinterest Girl

See, I’m not the girl with a spotless white room, fairy lights placed perfectly, or 200-step morning routines. But I am the girl who randomly cleans her room at 11 PM, lights a diya, sprays lavender mist, and listens to “Rimjhim Gire Saawan” while scrolling through my old texts like it’s a movie.

I bake cakes when I feel low and crochet when my brain refuses to shut up. My kind of Pinterest is that one plate of hot maggi I eat while watching the rain. Or those 3-second voice notes I send to my bestie mid-breakdown. Or the way I tie my hair in a messy bun with that one clip I’ve had for years.

Sometimes I wear my cute black body-hugging top and feel like that girl, and other days I wear my oversized kurti and sit like a potato. I’m moody, overthinking, awkward with compliments, and someone who will overanalyze a “hmm” text for two hours straight.

But I’m also the girl who’ll save aesthetic reels and try to recreate them with full commitment ... only for the reel to look like CCTV footage later. Main try toh kiya yaar.

I’ve got jhumkas hanging next to my crochet yarn. A perfume bottle beside my holy ash. I paint my nails and then use them to peel off orange segments. I’m basically a dupatta-wearing disaster with a Pinterest soul and desi background music.

People think Pinterest girlies are all about matcha lattes and French tips. But babes, I drink Boost from a steel tumbler and feel like royalty. I light my candle, play some Lucky Ali, and suddenly I’m healing from imaginary heartbreaks.

Desi, dramatic, soft-hearted, trying to be the main character in a house full of people yelling about the gas cylinder. I might not have a perfect life ... just with a little more masala.
