The Quiet Things That Keeps Me Going

So no, I don’t want anyone to fix my life. I’m not looking for  some dramatic turning point. I just want the space to breathe without being questioned for it. To walk without people acting like I’m plotting a crime. To exist without having to explain why I’m quiet, or tired, or just... different.

And yeah, maybe I’m not that girl I used to be. The one who laughed a little louder, tried a little harder, hoped a little more. Maybe I don’t shine the way I used to. But I’m still here. Still showing up. Still surviving in ways no one claps for.

It stings when people don’t see that ... when your entire effort gets reduced to, “Why are you out at night?” or “Are you even studying?” As if walking for thirty minutes means I’ve given up on my future. As if existing outside my room is a scandal.

But not everything I do is for them to understand.

Some things are just for me. Like evening walks that keep my anxiety from eating me alive. Like sitting in silence with a cup of coffee because talking feels exhausting. Like crying in the shower and then opening a textbook like nothing ever happened.

It’s not glamorous. It’s not Instagrammable. But it’s real.

And maybe I’m not living the kind of life they expect ....but I’m still living. Quietly. Tiredly. But truthfully.
